Biggest problem is that the local chevy dealer cannot provide an update to the gps maps. It usually recognize a deeper, louder voice. "The system doesn't recognize my voice, which is soft. "When purchased, I was told CHEVROLET could update the navigation system maps (at a cost) when I wanted. Dealer blamed problem on broken antenna, which was replaced, but still not working correctly." The parts price alone is over $900 so we opted to live without the GPS." They believe the problem is a bad antennae and a bad module. The local dealer spent quit a bit of time trying to find the problem and eventually consulted with GM. The in dash compass stopped working as well. "The GPS system on our vehicle stopped working because the satellites were unable to locate our vehicle. Disconnecting the battery seems to straighten out the issue for a while" On line research show others have experienced the same. "the display will freeze on whatever radio station it was on and no controls, phone commands, volume, station select will work. it will fix itself if the vehicle is shut off and restarted after 10 minutes. "since it was new the display screen will occasionally freeze up and the radio will be stuck on at one channel and volume, no bluetooth phone connection/use or any other services.
